Insights into best practice solutions and expert exchange
The 13th VDMA Variant Management Conference will take place on 27 February 2024 in Frankfurt, Langen. It offers a day-long insight into implementation examples from companies, an accompanying trade exhibition and time for dialogue with experts and solution providers.
The motto of the event is “Tension between quality, costs and product variants”. The VDMA conference will focus on successful variant management. The conference will show specifically how companies from the mechanical and plant engineering sector can successfully position themselves in the area of conflict between quality, costs and product variants.
We are particularly pleased that our customer J. Schmalz will be represented with a presentation.
Patricia Heinzig, Head of Product Digitisation at J. Schmalz, presents the article “Configure-to-order in the value stream from customer to customer – how visual configuration reduces lead times and increases customer satisfaction“.
This is an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of visual configuration, using the example of crane gantries and suspension crane systems. Mrs Heinzig looks in particular at the influence on the objectives: Reduce throughput times, increase quality and increase customer satisfaction.
