Customers who come to CLOOS usually bring very individual challenges with them: They have a component that has to be welded in a unique way. CLOOS has to put together a customised welding solution for this challenge and offer it convincingly. With encoway’s CPQ software, this process now takes just a few clicks instead of a week. At the same time, a 3D configuration helps the customer to make the best decision.

From complicated Excel files to lean and effective quotation processes
At CLOOS you will find advanced process and mechanical engineering expertise: The company is a leading supplier of welding equipment for the manual and automated use. With 16 subsidiaries, 10 production sites and more than 60 sales and service centers, CLOOS is present from Brazil to China.
With the introduction of a CPQ solution, the company wanted to offer its products more efficiently and finally respond more quickly to customer inquiries. In the past, the quotation process was characterised by media disruptions and fragmented communication. Quotations were prepared on the basis of Excel calculations which required users to have a lot of prior technical knowledge. External sales partners could do little with the Excel files and were frequently left out. The double maintenance of isolated data records from Excel in SAP systems was an additional workload. At the same time, the visualization of welding solutions – with technical accuracy and complete parts lists – remained a challenge.
When looking for a software solution for sales CLOOS focussed on consistent accessibility, seamless data transfer to SAP systems and a streamlined process. With encoway CLOOS has found the right partner: thanks to our browser-based CPQ solution, the company can now provide an intuitive, visual configurator for sales partners in different time zones.
Experiencing welding solutions on site
The best thing: instead of returning weeks after the first customer meeting with a reliable offer, sales teams simply configure on site using an iPad. A lifelike 3D model is created directly in the presence of the customer, from the individual “standard welding cell” to complex robot system with thousands of variants. With augmented reality, interested parties can actively experience the planned solutions, understand them better – and decide in favour of them more easily.
